Aspect Foundation’s inbox is flooded with notes from students expressing their gratitude for the experience they have had on student exchange. On Thursdays, we post one of these notes, sharing the “warm fuzzies” with all of you!
This week’s Thank You Thursday is from a former student, Ibrahim from Nigeria, who sent us an endearing letter of how fortunate and grateful he feels to have been an Aspect exchange student back in 2007!

“I came to the U.S in 2007 as a Foreign Exchange Student. I came through the IRIS/YES program and was adopted by the Aspect Program. I was placed in WA. Highlights of my exchange year were my host family the Bolanders who I consider my parents, my American friends and the wonderful people I met during my exchange year. I also enjoyed getting to know other students from the program, and my amazing Coordinator, Jodi.

While my exchange year are filled with many memories that I am grateful for, the most significant one I am grateful for is, Aspect gave me the opportunity to meet my wife. While I was at High school, I met a girl in English class who was very beautiful and quiet. We didn’t talk much to each other, but we were close because of our circle of friends. With great pleasure and a thankful heart, the girl I met twelve years ago become my wife this June.
