Thank You Thursday- Fuze Maria from Spain

Aspect Foundation’s inbox is flooded with notes from students expressing their gratitude for the experience they have had on student exchange. On Thursdays, we post one of these notes, sharing the “warm fuzzies” with all of you. Below, our former student Fuze Maria from Spain takes the opportunity to thank those she has made connections with during her time in America.

“Thank you all for everything that you did during those 10 months. It honestly seems like yesterday when I was on the plane, flying to that new life, that amazing new life. I really appreciate each of you and I’m so thankful for everything, especially to my host family for hosting me and make me feel like a new member of your family, and to all my exchange student friends that I got to meet from all over the world.

Thank you to my school for letting me achieve my American dream- letting me be part of the cheer, basketball and soccer team this year because I learned that I love doing sports and the feeling of being part of a team. Also, we got to go to the state tournament and return with a trophy.

Prom 2019

I have had the chance to meet amazing people, make new other special friends and family. That’s why, now, I can consider Utah as my second home. It’s also funny to see how fast times flies when you are having fun and how sad it is then when you realize that you have to say goodbye to the new whole life that I built and that I love with all my heart. Exchange experience ended does not mean that we are never going to see each other again. It’s not a goodbye, it’s just a see you later.

I’m really thankful for the opportunity that my parents gave me to follow one of my dreams because it made me grow a lot as a person. Thank you again for everything, to each of you that makes me happy daily and are always by my side. I sure never forget all these people and my exchange experience. I really can’t express how grateful and happy I am that I got to have my exchange experience and to meet all nice people. I miss everyone a lot.”
