Dear Beverly, Steve and Terry,

Two more weeks left, and it is time for Jakob to say good-bye. Good-bye to you – you wonderful people, good-bye to an awesome and beautiful time he spent with you.

It will be very hard for him to leave his “second home”; and we are sure that he will never forget this special year of his life.

But it is also time for us parents to say THANK YOU –  Thank you for everything. You gave Jakob so much hospitality and warmness and he learned so much from all of you. During his time in Arkansas, we always have been convinced that Jakob has the best host family, host mother and host brother we parents could wish him.

He will miss you so much …

So, we would be very glad if you could come to visit us in Germany and we can show you the German way of living.

P.S. We have no idea how he will carry all his baggage first to Virginia and then back home – but we think he can handle it 🙂 However, the most important things that he will “carry” home will be the fond and deep memories of you all.
