Andreas from Norway and his host family.
Aspect Foundation’s inbox is flooded with notes from students (and host parents!) expressing their gratitude for the experience they have had with student exchange. On Thursdays, we post one of these notes, sharing the “warm fuzzies” with all of you!
Today’s Thank You Thursday features Host Mom Angie in Texas, who thanks her Aspect Foundation student Andreas from Norway.
Today is our last day to spend with Andreas. Yes, I will probably cry. We are so grateful that he came into our life and has become part of our family. The moments, holidays and laughter we shared will remain with us forever. I was told the “first” student you host is “special”. That indeed is true. There couldn’t possibly be any other that fit so well in our family. I will miss the drives to school in the morning, the Oohhh noises he makes during a sports game when something exciting is going to happen, and the noise at the end of the day of the freezer door opening because it’s time for some blue bell ice cream. I will miss his quirky sense of humor, his calm, peaceful attitude, and of course his Norwegian accent. There will be a little piece of my heart that will travel with him to Norway.
