Til from Germany with his host family in Colorado.
Aspect Foundation’s inbox is flooded with notes from students expressing their gratitude for the experience they have had on student exchange. On Thursdays, we post one of these notes, sharing the “warm fuzzies” with all of you!
Today’s Thank You Thursday features Til from Germany, who expresses his thanks for his year abroad in Colorado.
I would like to say “Thank you” to all the people that have contributed to make my dream of coming to America and going to an American high school come true. I am happy that I can say that although there were some challenges and some ups and downs, I would not have wanted to come to a different town, school, or family. It is just wonderful that there are people like you who unselfish enough, to voluntarily help a young person to achieve what they have always imagined. It has been an experience that I will certainly never forget, and that has helped me becoming a more confident, outgoing, and better person, in large part due to the people I was able to meet. I would like to say thank you to Eurovacances and the Aspect Foundation with all of its coordinators and volunteers, my host town, my high school with all of its students and staff, and most of all, my wonderful host family that allowed to become part of their family. Thank you!
