Study abroad tends to have lifelong effects on our students. Are you ready to start your study abroad journey?
Let’s hear from our student ambassador, Cara, who studied abroad in Ecuador last year in 2017. Check out this short and sweet Q&A with Cara one year after her return!

In the “middle of the world” in Ecuador!
Q: How do you feel your study abroad experience has benefitted you so far?
A: It increased my confidence exponentially, it opened my mind to new experiences and made me an overall more positive person.
Q: How has your study abroad experience caused you to think differently about your future? Has it helped you with any decisions related to college, your personal life, or career interests?
A: Yes, I have decided to pursue college in a spanish speaking country and will also put my second language to use in the career I decided on.
Q: How have you kept in touch with your host family or friends you made while abroad? Have you been back to visit or would you like to one day?
A: I still keep in touch with my host family and friends, and I plan to return to Ecuador this summer!

Q: Would you recommend studying abroad to other students? If so, do you have any advice for current high school students who are considering study abroad?
A: Yes, I think it is a once in a lifetime experience that could change anyone for the better, and if you feel too scared or nervous to do it then just remember that the fear will pass once you have a whole new world to discover!
Q: Do you have any other insight, stories, or comments to share?
A: My study abroad experience with Aspect has changed my life in more ways than I could’ve imagined and I will never forget that experience!
