Read on to see how Julie is taking her skills to new heights, making waves in the pool, and embracing the thrill of a whole new sport!

I was looking to do swimming as a winter sport for my high school. One day, I was in the lifting room with the team when one of my coaches told me I looked like a gymnast. She just asked, “Why wouldn’t you try diving?” I had always loved watching that sport, so being able to try it, especially with my gymnastics background, was the best decision I could have made!

What I enjoyed most about diving was probably how high and hard you can jump and flip around! I just love being in the air and in the water at the same time. I also really love the feeling of learning new dives and new sensations. It’s always such a good feeling, not just because the coaches are proud of you, but also your teammates. And I just love that!
