Shannon joined Aspect in 2015 and has made an incredible difference as a Team Manager, International Coordinator, and host mom. Shannon and her family have welcomed students into their home with kindness and care, creating memories they’ll cherish forever while offering steady guidance and support. Here’s what some of her students had to say about the difference she’s made in their lives.

Shannon, or BHME (Best Host Mom Ever) as I like to call her. She introduced me to American life in the best way possible: always with love and kindness, taking me to amazing places, and sharing stories about her jobs, her culture, her family, and her passion for hosting. She’s truly one of the most caring and generous people I know, and she literally changed my life for the better. I’m not sure I’ve ever told her that, but I hope she knows.
– Quentin from Belgium (exchange year 2017-2018)

My International Coordinator, Shannon, made my exchange year so special! She always made sure I was comfortable and helped me make the most of my time in the States. I don’t know what I would have done without her!
– Marta from Italy (exchange year 2018-2019)

It’s been 4-5 years since I finished my exchange year in the U.S., but that is and will still be the most memorable experience of my life.
I had an amazing host family and coordinator, which Shannon was. She was really sweet and attentive when I saw her or during our monthly calls. I know that she fought for me to come to the U.S. during COVID, and I will always be grateful and thankful for that. She made my year easier and better.
I plan to come back to the U.S. in a few years because my exchange year was great, and I want to meet again with the people who made it unforgettable!
– Victor from France (exchange year 2020-21)

Shannon truly is the best coordinator I could have hoped for during my exchange year. She helped me through some tough times while I was in the US, and I’m so thankful for her. She always made sure everyone felt included and that our group events were as fun as possible so we could all have a great time together.
I remember when she asked all of us what was one thing we truly wanted to do during our exchange year. Mine was to go horseback riding in the mountains, and she made that happen. I went to Colorado for a few days with her mom and two other exchange students, and I had one of the best times of my life. I know I would have had a great experience in the US even if Shannon wasn’t my coordinator, but I also know she made it ten times better by being there. Every student she supervised was so lucky to have her as a coordinator, and I hope each one of them knows that.
– Lana from France (exchange year 2021-22)

My exchange year was amazing, all thanks to Shannon. I will never forget how much work she put into finding me my host family and how she welcomed me into her home for a few nights. I saw her again this summer, and it was so nice to reconnect. I will always feel welcome with her.
– Eloise from France (exchange year 2021-22)

Shannon was essential to my exchange experience, and every student under her care is lucky to have her ❤️ Funny, caring, and understanding, Shannon was always making plans to help us feel included, constantly checking in, and giving great advice!
– Maria from Brazil (exchange year 2022-2023)
