Lights! Camera! All-Stars!
Introducing Aspect Foundation’s weekly video series, Lights! Camera! All-Stars!, starring you! Each week we aim to bring you a new video challenge to complete for a chance of being featured in a video mashup posted to our social media channels! Simply follow the challenge guidelines as closely as you can, use these helpful video tips, and have fun! Submissions are due one week after the announcement. Don’t miss out! Here is your 1st opportunity to join in the fun!
Halloween Candy Taste Test!
Halloween is right around the corner and many of you have never tried American candies before. Set up and film a taste test for yourself with your host family! We are looking to create a video that looks something like this by putting together some of your amazing video submissions. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
The Critique
Please judge the candies in the following categories. (Try to taste at least 5 different candies!)
Wrapper: What does the candy wrapper say to you? Does it convey sweets? Does it look like something for kids? Does the name give away what the candy will taste like?
Taste: On a scale from 1 to 5, (1 being the worst and 5 being the best) rate the taste of the candy. Do you like it? Do you find it gross? Why or why not? What’s your favorite part of the candy?
Texture: How do you find the texture of the candy? Was it easy or difficult to eat? Was it too gummy? Too messy? Too weird? Or just right!
Guess Who’s Favorite: (Optional*) If possible, have your host family select some of their favorite candies for you to try. Then, see if you can guess who likes that candy the best!
Final Rating: On a scale of 1 to 5, how do you rate each candy overall? Would you eat it again?
Submissions: Submissions are due one week following the video challenge announcement. Please upload all of your videos and video clips to YouTube, then email the links to video@aspectfoundation.org. Remember to include the challenge title in your subject line so that we can keep everything organized! (See the video tips for privacy settings in YouTube.)
