International Day Of Families

Today is #InternationalDayOfFamilies and here at Aspect Foundation, our Amercian host families are as diverse as our exchange students who come from all over the world!

Empty-nesters, retirees, families with young children, single adults, families with teenage children, etc. all make up our loving host family community!  More important than how they’re comprised, however, is the loving, welcoming, and safe environment they provide to students during their exchange year!

We hear repeatedly how our students feel like a member of their host family by the time their exchange year is over.  It is in part thanks to how these generous families open their homes and make room to love and care for another person as if they were their own child.

Our American students who study abroad also feel a similar bond with their host families. Below is a photo of Rachel who studied in Japan with her host parents:
