Find Out What Makes Being an Exchange Student Awesome: Part Two

It’s truly amazing how quickly time has flown. It seems like just yesterday when our 2023/24 students first set foot in their American host families’ homes, filled with anticipation and excitement for the experiences that lay ahead. Now, as they find themselves at the end of their American adventure, we took the opportunity to ask them what they love most about being an exchange student!

The best part of an exchange year is meeting new people and having the chance to spend a lot of time with my host family, laughing and learning English at the same time. It’s a short challenging period full of memories and experiences where you get to build a new home and realize that it’s not a question of time but of connection.

The best part is knowing that you built a new life, a second home in a different country, having friends from different parts of the world, and knowing how unique this experience is.

The best experience has been getting to know so many different people in school, but also in my host family. They have given me so many different perspectives and made me more open minded.

The best part for me is the school because I really enjoy every moment when I’m there. I like my classes a lot and I don’t feel any pressure like in my Italian school. I also have a lot of friends, so I really like going to school since I can spend a lot of time with them.

I can’t decide on only one thing because the year has been amazing and I enjoyed it a lot. I love how I connected with my host family, I feel they are perfect for me and we are going to have this relationship forever. I also love how my friends try to make me feel loved and they want me to experience the year as much as I can.

The best part about my exchange year was all the people I got the chance to meet. I learned so much here while being on my own in a whole new country. The people and all the chances I get here are so amazing!
