Each fall, anxious and excited students step off planes all across the United States to meet their new host families for the very first time. They’re greeted with hugs, warm smiles, and creative and welcoming signs. We received so many great submissions for this year’s annual arrival photo contest, and finally here they are: the winners!

First up, the photo that received the most votes: Daga from Poland meets her host family, the Smalls, in Indiana! Their sign reads “We are the Smalls, & we have BIG plans for you!”

Next, the Aspect headquarters staff in San Francisco voted for our favorite photo as well. It was close, but we couldn’t resist this photo of Tekla from Georgia meeting the Ravenscroft family in Indiana. We thought this picture was just the right amount of “corny!”
