Aspect Foundation’s inbox is flooded with notes from students expressing their gratitude for the experience they have had on student exchange. On Thursdays, we post one of these notes, sharing the “warm fuzzies” with all of you. Below, Kuma from Kyrgyzstan would like to pass on some words of appreciation to her host mom, April:
On this exchange, I have had a lot of “first-time” experiences. My host mom April and I have had a lot of 1st-time things together. My host mom took me on a vacation to Florida. I met my host mom’s best friends from high school and we spent my spring break with them. Since my birthday was during the spring break, we went to Walt Disney world. It was the best birthday present ever. I felt like I was in Disney movies with real princesses and heroes from my favorite movies. I had so much fun and didn’t want to leave that place. I have always wanted to experience water sports and I got a lot of opportunity to try new things in Florida. I did tubing, surfing, floated on boat. I was in the water even in cold weather. It was amazing! I’m very grateful for my host family. I love them very much. I can never repay them for all they have done for me. I want to give them gifts and love. I want to invite them to my country and show them Kyrgyzstan. I want to give back the wonderful time they have given me.
